Go-Kart Meeting Update

The Airborne Park Speedway Go-Kart 2016 Season got underway this afternoon with a meeting for owners and racers.
It was decided at the meeting that there would be a 14 race schedule and all 14 races will be point counting races going towards the 2016 Championship.
Handicapping would be done the same way it was in 2015.
The night of choice by the Kart owners was Tuesday nights with gates opening at 5:00 pm, Practice starting at 6:00pm. and Post Time 7:00pm with a rain date of Wednesday. There will also be a few races on Sunday as time permits as to not interfere with school schedules.
It was also decided to wait until 2017 to introduce a Track Tire program so as to let teams use up current inventory.
Teams were also notified that there would be no tire soaking allowed what so ever and if anyone was caught with soaked or treated tires on speedway property, the team would be banned from Airborne Park Speedway indefinitely.
Track Owner/Promoter John Walker said we'll work on the final rules, procedures, and schedule next week.
