Fourth of July Celebration

Racing action resumes this Saturday night with a special 7pm post time at Airborne Park Speedway.
The Ernie’s Discount Tools Sportsman Modifieds, Jeffords Steel Renegades and Busch Beer Mini Mods will all be in action with extra distance events. The Sportsman Modifieds and Renegades will battle in 40 lap main events, while the Mini Mods will run a 20 lap main event. At the conclusion of the racing card, we will have a gigantic fireworks display from Dr. Joe Clauss.
Ticket prices for the weekend will be $13/Adults, $5/Kids(6-12) and $30/Family (2 Adults, 2 Kids). Carloads will be permitted onto the speedway grounds starting at 8pm. The price per carload will be $10.
Main gates will open at 4pm this weekend with pit gates opening at 3pm. Post time this week is 7pm.
As we near mid-season championships, the point battle in the Sportsman Modified division couldn’t get any tighter. Four time defending track champion, Nick Heywood and racing veteran Bucko Branham are tied atop the points with 429. Current third place point man, Danny Sullivan came into last weeks event with a 7 point lead over Branham, but Sullivan was caught up in an incident in the start of last weekends race. Jamie LaFountain and Jamy Begor complete the top five in points.
The Renegade division sees Robert Gordon with a comfortable point lead. Gordon has a 24 point lead over Richie Turner and a 42 point lead over third place point man, Shawn Duquette. Zach Rabtoy and Brent Jarvis complete the top five in points.
Dale O’Neil has a slim 8 point lead in the Mini Mod division over Josh LaPorte. Tim LaFountain, Robert Foley and Eddie Bresette complete the top five in points.
