Robin Branham Crash For Cancer Enduro

PLATTSBURGH- Louis Bunnell is no stranger to Airborne Park Speedway. The former Strictly Street division racer collected the victory for the 150 lap Robin Branham Crash For Cancer Enduro, back on October 15.
It had been over ten years since the Milton, Vermont driver had laps around the Airborne half-mile.
With 20 laps remaining in the event, Bunnell had a half-track lead over Cadyville’s Brent Jarvis. In the closing laps, Jarvis cut his deficit to 4 seconds, but ran out of time as the checkered flag was unfurled.
In total, the race had three stoppages. The red flag stoppages were caused by a dangerous drivers’ side hit on the front stretch, a car on fire and for the track being fully blocked in turn one.
Positions three through five went to Curtis Seymour Jr, Pat Leary and Shawn Fountain.
Cody Kilburn, Brett Wood, Chris Akey, Billie Jo Branham and Andy Botala completed the top 10.
Leading up to the event, donations were taken in at Texas Roadhouse and by Billie Jo Branham. Branham had squares on her Enduro car that were available for sponsorships. In total, $5,337 was raised between them.
Saturday’s event brought in $5,150 in sponsor monies, which Airborne added to the donation. Joyce Huntley held a raffle which took in $303. In addition, the 50/50 from the event was $375 and $840 was added by Airborne to get the total to $12,005.
