Dupree Returns to Airborne Park Speedway

Story by: Contributing Writer

SARANAC LAKE, NY - 358 Modified driver, # 24 Patrick Dupree, will return to Airborne Park Speedway for a full 2017 season. 2- time track champion and winningest 358 modified driver at Airborne with 28 feature wins, Dupree looks forward to adding to his accomplishments this season.
With the newly installed Clay surface, the ground pounding 358 Modified’s are certain to bring action back to Airborne along with some of the biggest names in DIRT sanctioned racing.
“We are really looking forward to running on the new surface at Airborne. I’m sure a lot of people who remember what it was like to watch a dirt race at Airborne are feeling the same way. We had a lot of success on asphalt there but this is a totally different style of racing. Growing up watching Wes Moody, CD Coville and Mike Perrotte slinging clay into the stands while making a hard run for the checker flags is a feeling like no other. We’re excited to get our chance.”
The #24 machine is sponsored by Torrance Construction, Lake Placid, NY, Rene J. Fournier and Son, Swanton, VT, Northeast Irrigation and Landscape, Plattsburgh, NY Saranac Country Store, Saranac NY, Wesley Moody Landscaping, Saranac Lake, NY and their newest sponsor, Niederbuhl Bros. Tree Service and Property Management in Bloomingdale, NY
Dupree also plans to run a limited schedule at Mohawk Raceway in Hogansburg, NY and the Central New York Raceway Park, Glenn Donnelly’s new facility in Central Square, NY, scheduled to be open this spring.
Dupree’s arsenal will also include the #63 358 Modified throwback car. The car sports the number and colors of team owner Wes Moody’s 1980’s modified. This car will be reserved for guest drivers such as sprint car driver Jessica Zemken Friesen.
