Airborne Park Speedway

Car Show & Practice Cancelled

PLATTSBURGH- Mother Nature hasn't been on our side in the month of April at Airborne Park Speedway.

Heavy rains earlier this week have put us behind again with the initial track prep process. In the next few days we are expecting sunny conditions that should help dry the clay right through to the bottom.

After consulting with Bruce Richards, we feel this is the right decision and we want to air on the side of caution.

"I feel it is important that we make sure we have a safe track and a track that will provide great racing entertainment for the fans," Promoter, John Walker said.

Bruce was on the grater on Thursday and he will be again today (Friday). The key at this point is to turn the track over, open it up and allow it to dry up at the base.

With the cancellation, we plan on a mid-week practice on Wednesday, weather permitting. If we are able to get this practice in, then we will be kicking off the season on Saturday, May 6.

Technical inspection will still be available at the track on Saturday starting at 11 A.M.
