Huntley Trucking Fire & EMS Night pres. by Tow Mate

PLATTSBURGH – Racing action resumes this Saturday night with a 7 p.m. post time at Airborne Park Speedway.
The Egglefield Ford 358-Modifieds, Fidelis Care Sportsman, Poirier’s True Value Renegades, Busch Beer Mini-Mods and Strictly stocks will all be in action for Huntley Trucking Volunteer Fire & EMS Night presented by Tow Mate.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. Ticket prices will be $12 for adults, kids 12 and under and volunteer fire and EMS personnel with proper identification will be admitted free of charge.
Last week, The Alexandria, Ontario native scored his second consecutive win in the Egglefield Ford 358-Modified division at Airborne Park Speedway.
Mike Perrotte had the Adirondack Auto No. 35 well in the lead when he broke on the right rear and had to surrender his lead to Raabe.
Raabe would restart along side Brandon, Vermont driver Jake Scarborough on lap-12. Scarborough would vault to the lead off the top of turn two and managed to hold off Raabe until lap-19. Raabe would work under Scarborough in turns one and two and never looked back.
In the closing laps, Steve Bernier of St. Hyacinth, Quebec would work around Scarborough and eventually come within two car lengths of Raabe, but ran out of time and settled for second.
Todd Stone was the apparent third place finisher on track, but failed post race technical inspection. Scarborough was placed third, Jessey Mueller fourth and Matt Woodruff rounded out the top five.
A familiar face pulled into victory lane on Saturday in the Fidelis Care Sportsman division.
Plattsburgh’s Nick Heywood collected his first checkered flag in the 25 lap feature. Heywood searched around the track for bite and found it, as the Labatt Blue No. 29 was dialed in.
Bomoseen, Vermont’s John Scarborough hustled through the field to the second spot. Adam Gage, Adam Pierson and Jamie LaFountain rounded out the top five.
Brent Jarvis of Peru claimed the victory in the Poirier’s True Value Renegade division. Keith O’Neil finished in second with Jimmy Bushey finishing third.
The Busch Beer Mini-Mods ran a 12 lap feature with Tyler Irwin picking up the victory. Michael Whalen and Josh LaPorte completed the top three.
Northeastern Clinton Central School tenth grader, Rolland Guay, drove his Begor’s Supply No. 5 to his first career victory. Nathan Smart and Derick Coolidge rounded out the top three.
