Military Night + Sportsman Double Features, Saturday at Airborne
PLATTSBURGH – Airborne Park Speedway will be honoring members of the North Country Honor Flight this Saturday night as part of the racing card presented by Huntley Trucking.
The ceremony will be a part of the “Military Night” theme that the speedway holds annually. Additionally, all active and retired Military members that present proper identification will be admitted free of charge.
All five of Airborne’s regular racing divisions will be in action, including the Egglefield Ford 358-Modifieds, Poirier’s True Value Sportsman Modifieds, Ernie’s
Discount Tools Super Stocks, Mini-Mods and Strictly Stocks.
Double features are scheduled for the Sportsman Modifieds in an effort to make up for a lost point race due to the rescheduling of the Unique Sportsman Series. Regular distance events will be run for the Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini-Mods and Strictly Stocks.
Post time for the event is slated for 7 p.m., with grandstands opening at 5p.m. Admission prices are set at $12 for adults with kids ages 12 and under free of charge.
