Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway Cancelled 8/17/19
Due to this evening’s unfavorable forecast, Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway Management has made the decision to cancel tonight’s racing program for August 17.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecasted for the greater Plattsburgh area starting around 4 P.M. and are expected to continue through the night.
So far this season 15 of the 16 events have been completed, some nights battling afternoon rain. Unfortunately, today’s forecast does not look promising for the racing program.
Racing action will resume on Tuesday night for the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series Ameri-Can 100 presented by P.M. Leary Restoration.
The Egglefield Ford 358-Modifieds will have show-up points and will battle with the 358-Modified invaders. Additionally, the Poirier’s True Value Sportsman will have a 35-lap $1,000 to win show-up points event, while the Frennier Motorsports Strictly Stocks will have a regular points event.
Tuesday’s post time is 7 P.M. More details will be available later today (Saturday).
