American Racer 358 Modified North Series is underway for 2024!
Autodrome Granby, Rpm Speedway, Mohawk International Raceway, Cornwall Motor Speedway and Airborne Park Speedway are proud to present the American Racer North Series for 358 Modifieds.
A total of $15,500 CAD will be awarded in points by American Racer and JFD Distribution, with $5,000 going to the series winner. The 5-race series will be run at all 5 tracks throughout the summer.
While teams will have the option of using American Racer or Hoosier tires, Hoosier users will not have access to the bonus amounts awarded to American Racer users. As an example, a winning car using American Racer tires in the feature will win $4,500 CAD, while a Hoosier user will win $3,000 CAD.
Each evening, the starting positions for the qualifying races will be determined by a draw (similar to the Short Track Super Series). Each evening's feature will be 60 laps on the green, with a maximum of 30 cars starting. A minimum of $400 will be awarded to those who start the feature.
"We're very pleased. We were looking to recreate a series similar to what the Canadian Confrontation was back in the day," says Charles-Olivier Lampron, assistant promoter for Autodrome Granby and RPM Speedway. "None of the races in the series conflict with other programs. We've put everything in place to have as many participants as possible from the 5 tracks involved."
The specific rules of the series will be communicated to the teams very soon.
This means that 5 evenings will be eagerly awaited by fans this summer.
