Airborne Park, STSS Officials Cancel Short Track Super Series Adirondack Invasion

PLATTSBURGH, Ny.-- The 2025 “Adirondack Invasion” has officially been canceled. After a pop-up shower at 6PM lasted nearly 30 minutes and put a stop to racing action, officials considered the dropping temperatures and estimated that the track would not be ready for cars until 8PM at the earliest, putting the events at least two hours behind schedule. At that time, race officials announced that the 2025 “Adirondack Invasion” Short Track Super Series North Region race was postponed until Monday, July 21, 2025. After some additional consideration, officials decided to cancel the event entirely for the 2025 season.
Wristbands purchased for the event may be mailed and addressed to: Airborne Park Speedway, 2743 Rte. 22A, West Haven, VT, 05743 for a full refund, which will come in check form in the mail. Only wristbands received in the mail on or postmarked by Monday, June 30 will be refunded. Wristbands will NOT be refunded at the gate or used for upgrades. They must be mailed in for refund.
Airborne Park Speedway returns to racing Thursday, June 26 with kids’ racecar rides on mid-season championship night! The Hartson Total Opening DIRTcar 358 Modifieds will lead the way with “Hollywood” Felix Roy leading the points over Mike Mahaney with his two wins, but the 2024 track champion is only 13 points behind and is looking for his first feature win of the year! Cagey Veteran Tim Fuller and up-and-coming star Jeremy Roy are 3rd and 4th in the standings with David Hebert 5th.
Donovan Lussier holds a slim, eight-point lead over Nick Heywood in the J&S Steel Sportsman ranks. Caleb Durgan, the most recent feature winner in the class, is 3rd in the standings. Michael Wright and Fire Swamp are 4th and 5th, and a mere 54 points separates the entire top-five!
The wild 9th State Cannabis Renegades are led into town by Tylor Terry, a four-time winner this season. He holds a 43-point lead over Shawn Duquette. Brad Bushey is 3rd in the standings, 48 points out of the lead. Tyler Irwin and Shawn Fountain complete the top-five.
Dannemora’s Jake Fountain still leads the mini-stock points as he has all season long. His teammate, Ryan Senecal is 2nd, 14 markers back. JP Corrow, Josh Blake and Kyle Botala round out the top five, but are all at least 60 points behind your leader, Fountain.
Eighteen-year-old Kobe Hernandez, from Chazy, is the Hoosier Racing Tire Limited Sportsman point leader with 398 points. Peru’s Parker Dermody is 46 markers back with Gary English, Jr., in 3rd place in the standings.
Racing at Airborne Park Speedway is powered by New England Ford Dealers. Next Wednesday, June 18, the gates will open at 4PM in the pits and 5:30PM in the stands. Hot laps will roll off at 6:15 and we will be going green by 7PM. General admission is just $15 with kids 12 and under getting in for free! Pit admission is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Airborne Park Speedway is located at 70 Broderick Road in Plattsburgh, New York, just two miles from exit 36 off interstate 87.
