Airborne Park Speedway Banquet of Champions set for November 14
Stock car and go-kart racers to be honored
PLATTSBURGH, NY – Airborne Park Speedway will honor its champions for the 2015 racing season on Saturday, November 14. The Rainbow Wedding & Banquet Hall in Altona, NY will be the site of the year-end celebration featuring stock car drivers from the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series presented by Yandow Sales & Service and John Deere and go-kart racers from the Competition Kart Series.
Nick Heywood will collect his record fourth consecutive championship in the NASCAR J&S Steel Modified division. Heywood is the first to win the headline title four years running since Airborne’s opening in 1954. Richie Turner will return to the stage for the first time in 11 years, having won the second Key R-D Trailer Sales Renegade title of his career and his first since 2004. Chris LaVair is a first-time champion in the Busch Beer Mini-Modified class and won his title on the strength of six race victories.
Other drivers who will be honored include Ernie’s Discount Tools Rookie of the Year winners Danny Sullivan, Michael Wright, and Tanner Crary. Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel will crown the “Hottest Shoe” champions in all divisions, and several other special honors will also be awarded along with trophies for the top 12 point drivers in each division.
Six racers from the Competition Kart Series will be recognized for their championships including Pat Patterson, Toby Mason, Tanner Forbes, Ethan Worley, Ryan Bevins, and Wyatt Dragoon. All other drivers from the Competition Kart Series in attendance will also collect awards for their accomplishments.

The Airborne Park Speedway Banquet of Champions will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m., followed by awards at 6:00 p.m. and a buffet-style dinner at 7:00 p.m.
